Charles E. Hamilton was born to Charles and Shirley Hamilton on December 29, 1978 in Hollandale, MS. At the age of 1 years old, his father left his mother alone to raise two boys as a single mother.

By the age of 16, Charles joined a gang and began to sell drugs, but because of his athletic abilities he continued to attend school regularly.

As a junior in high school, he had many major colleges and professional baseball teams scouting him. On June 3, 1998, Charles was drafted by the Kansas City Royals as a pitcher in the 17th round and became the first person in Hollandale, MS history to play professional baseball.

While playing for the Royals, he was voted one of the most elite players in their organization for his ability to pitch from 89mph-96mph. In 2000, Charles was released from the Kansas City Royals due to his outraged behavior against the team’s rules and regulations.

Shortly after his release from the Royals, in March 2002, he was sentenced to 3 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections on charges for selling drugs. Only being in jail for 16 days, a man by the name of Robert Washington came to the Greenville County Jail, and told Charles how he could get saved, so on March 17, 2002, Charles gladly received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour.

Seven months after his conversion, God showed Charles in Ephesians 4:11 and Titus 1:3, that He wanted Charles to become a pastor and he surrendered to the high calling of God. While still in prison, God used the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry to influence Charles, and it caused him to believe in the fundamentals of the faith.

Upon his release in November of 2004, serving time in both the state of Mississippi and Florida, Charles moved to Racine, WI, and began to attend Lighthouse Baptist Church. There in Racine, he married Sandra Hamilton on March 18, 2006. Charles and Sandra have a total of five children together.

At Lighthouse Baptist Church, Charles was involved in the bus ministry, started a jail ministry, a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and he was a song leader. God used Charles in a mighty way to see hundreds of souls saved and baptized in Racine, WI.

Charles began to feel burdened about the people in the Mississippi Delta because he realized there was not one Independent Fundamental Baptist Church reaching the Black community there. With much prayer that God would send someone to reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in May of 2009, God showed Charles in Nehemiah 2:6 “And the king said unto me( the queen also sitting by him,) for how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time,” from that verse Charles accepted the call to go to Mississippi Delta to start churches.

In 2010, Charles and his family moved to Sault Ste. Marie, MI, so he could become an Assistant Pastor under the leadership of Pastor Jonas Moses, a missionary to the Native Americans. As an Assistant Pastor, Charles held prayer meetings, taught Friday night Bible study, took the teens soul winning, and preached.

Charles loved for souls caused him to go soul winning five days a week, and he was able to witness 350 people get saved and 40 of them to get baptized. From the counsel of his pastor, Charles enrolled in Hyles-Anderson College in the fall of 2011.

While at college in Crown Point, IN, Charles helped start a church in someone’s home, taught Saturday night Bible study, and taught Sunday school. In May 2012, Charles graduated with a Pastors’ Refresher Diploma from Hyles-Anderson College.

A few months later in August 2012, Charles and his family left Crown Point, IN, and began deputation to raise support to start churches in the Mississippi Delta. After 7 months on deputation, Charles raised the support to start King James Bible Baptist Church in Greenville, MS.
